Missile Intercepted: Tensions Heighten with Houthi Attack
A missile launched from Yemen towards Israel has been intercepted by the Israeli military, triggering widespread sirens. The Iran-aligned Houthi group claimed responsibility, citing solidarity with Palestinians. While dozens of missiles and drones have been intercepted, Israel has responded with retaliatory strikes.

The Israeli military announced on Tuesday that it successfully intercepted a missile launched from Yemen targeting Israel, which activated sirens in multiple locations throughout the country.
The attack was claimed by the Houthi rebels, aligned with Iran, who stated they fired a ballistic missile toward Jaffa as part of their support for Palestinians amidst the ongoing Gaza conflict.
While many of the missiles and drones launched by the Houthis have either been intercepted or landed off course, Israel has conducted retaliatory airstrikes in response to the escalation.
