Delhi Assembly Goes Paperless: Embracing Digital Governance

The Delhi Assembly is set to make a significant transition into the digital era as it goes paperless starting from the upcoming Monsoon session on August 4. From now on, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) intending to raise issues under Special Mention must submit their notices via the National e-Vidhan portal, officials announced on Tuesday.

This move marks the third session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly of Delhi, with Speaker Vijender Gupta announcing tentative dates from August 4 to 8. However, the session may be extended if need arises, according to an official statement. Proceedings will commence at 2 pm daily until the scheduled agenda is covered.

Notices under Rule 280 must be exclusively submitted using the NeVA Portal by 5 pm one working day before the scheduled date, with a balloting process at 11 am determining notice priority for each day.
