A notorious Delhi University alumnus, Rajat Tomar, has been apprehended by law enforcement after evading arrest for five years. The arrest occurred in Punjabi Bagh West, following his involvement in multiple criminal activities, including robbery and assault. A declared proclaimed offender, Tomar's tactics to avoid capture included frequent relocation and identity change.

Tomar, aged 45, was implicated in no fewer than five criminal proceedings in regions spanning from Delhi to Gurugram. In recent years, he was sought for incidents in Dwarka and Gurugram, including a robbery in 2016 where he was found with an illegal firearm. Notable assertions from law enforcement detail his relentless attempts to elude capture by moving between cities and assuming a new name, 'Rajbir.'

Despite efforts to evade law enforcement, Tomar's criminal escapades came to a halt when a police unit tracked and arrested him. During the inquiry, it was unveiled that familial estrangement and a dissolved marriage marked his return to illegal endeavors. His capture closes a significant chapter in a troubling five-year saga of crime and evasion.
