Telangana's IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu has appealed to the Union government to set up an additional Passport Seva Kendra in Hyderabad. This call comes amidst increasing demand, as the city witnesses rapid expansion and a growing population.
After inaugurating the new Rayadurgam Passport Seva Kendra, Babu emphasized the necessity of enhanced public service infrastructure, particularly passport services. He noted that Telangana is responsible for a significant share of the country's passport applications.
Babu highlighted the state's efficient police verification process, which completes within three days, and underscored the government's commitment to utilizing technology to deliver transparent and effective services. Dignitaries, including MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and other officials, attended the event.
