An 18-year-old woman employed as a domestic worker allegedly leapt from the third floor of an apartment in East Delhi's Joshi Colony following accusations of theft, according to officials on Thursday.

The young woman's family, however, claims she was forcibly pushed by her employers. The case unfolded on Wednesday at around 5:15 pm when police received a call from LBS Hospital about a woman admitted with injuries from a fall.

Currently hospitalized and in ICU, Asha, from Madhya Pradesh's Chattarpur, worked for Ashok Karnani's household for a year. Police continue investigating as conflicting narratives emerge surrounding Asha's fall, while her mother's allegations point towards foul play.
