Punjab Police have successfully dismantled a significant interstate cyber fraud racket, arresting 38 individuals, including several women, in a dramatic raid at a resort.
The joint operation by the Kapurthala Cyber Cell and Phagwara city police station resulted in the discovery of a fraudulent operation targeting unsuspecting victims in the United States and Canada.
Authorities seized 40 laptops, 67 mobile phones, and Rs 10 lakh in cash, booking the suspects under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Information Technology Act for their sophisticated scheme.
