The Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation has announced the successful completion of Special Campaign 4.0, a major cleanliness initiative that spanned over 272 sites nationwide.

Held from November 2024 to August 2025, the campaign aimed to promote Swachhata practices and address pending issues. It freed up 34,644 square feet of space, generating Rs 1.22 crore through the disposal of scrap material.

Additionally, the campaign reviewed thousands of physical and electronic files, resolved public grievances, and dealt with high-priority official references. Preparations for Special Campaign 5.0 are already underway, with all offices sensitised for active participation.
