The Navi Mumbai police have taken the driver of former IAS probationer Puja Khedkar's father into custody in connection with last week's abduction incident tied to road rage, a senior official confirmed on Saturday.
The suspect, identified as Praful Salunkhe, was captured in Sindhkhedraja, Dhule, by a police team, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Dahane. Salunkhe is in police custody until September 23, pending further legal proceedings.
Puja Khedkar's parents, Dilip and Manorama, along with another individual, are still missing, police reported.
