The tragic incident in Khandwa district has sparked a call for a judicial investigation, with Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari urging action to identify potential administrative negligence.
Eleven devotees, including seven young girls, lost their lives when a tractor trolley tipped over into the water during an idol immersion ritual, causing widespread sorrow across the state.
Patwari, after visiting the bereaved families in Padalphata, emphasized the need for Rs 1 crore compensation for each grieving family, as former minister Arun Yadav encouraged Congress members to support the affected households.
