In a significant police operation, authorities in Jharkhand's Palamu district have successfully apprehended five members of an inter-state robbery gang, a police spokesperson announced on Friday.

The notorious gang had been involved in more than a dozen criminal cases across Jharkhand, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh. Their arrest came after a local resident, Anand Kumar, reported an armed robbery where his motorcycle and mobile phone were stolen near Mandeya village.

Key suspect Dablu Prasad Saw, along with accomplices Sushil Kumar Yadav, Ritesh Kumar Paswan, Chhotu Kumar, and Omprakash Kumar, were detained. Police recovered three motorcycles, 16 mobile phones, and a firearm with cartridges, said Chattarpur SDPO Awadh Kumar Yadav, who also indicated that the investigation continues.
