A road rage incident in Uttar Pradesh between a police inspector and a staff member of a senior state minister escalated into a violent confrontation, officials reported on Friday.

The altercation took place at around 9 p.m. on Thursday near Khargapur in the Gomti Nagar Extension area. The conflict began when the vehicles of Inspector Anil Kumar Singh and Ravindra Shukla, the complainant and staff member, collided, resulting in a heated exchange, police stated.

According to Shukla's complaint, the dispute worsened when he followed Singh to his residence, where a scuffle broke out. Singh allegedly attacked Shukla with a car wiper, causing head injuries. Law enforcement confirmed a case has been filed, and further investigations are ongoing.
