A shooting incident in Ayodhya has left former BJP councillor Alok Singh critically injured. The brazen attack occurred during an idol immersion near the Ramghat intersection.
According to Superintendent of Police Chakrapani Tripathi, Singh was targeted by two bike-borne assailants who opened fire from close range before making their escape.
The motive behind the attack is suspected to be a property dispute with his own associates. Police have taken some suspects into custody as investigations continue, while Singh's condition in the hospital remains critical.
