The Uttar Pradesh Police are intensifying efforts to apprehend seven associates of Ittehade Millat Council (IMC) leader Tauqeer Raza following violent clashes over 'I Love Muhammad' posters last month. Authorities have declared a cash reward of Rs 15,000 for information leading to their arrest.
On September 26, tensions escalated in Bareilly when protests erupted over religious posters. Violence ensued as police intervened, resulting in numerous injuries. The chaos led to the registration of multiple FIRs, targeting several key IMC figures now on the run.
The search includes Ittehade Millat Council leaders like youth president Sajid Saklani, whose criminal cases span several city stations. Special police teams are actively pursuing leads, asserting that those responsible for inciting the riots will be brought to justice swiftly.
