Sustained Crackdown: Jammu & Kashmir Police Nab 11 Drug Peddlers
The Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested 11 alleged drug peddlers as part of the ongoing 100-day Nasha Mukt Abhiyan. Over seven kilograms of contraband were seized through operations in Anantnag, Pulwama, Handwara, Baramulla, and Bandipora, highlighting the continued efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested 11 alleged drug peddlers on Monday, marking significant progress in the 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan initiative. These arrests were made throughout various operations conducted across the valley, emphasizing the intensified efforts to curb drug trafficking.
Among the operations, officials successfully intercepted three alleged peddlers in Anantnag, recovering over 1.3 kilograms of charas powder. Meanwhile, in Pulwama, four suspects were detained, and 7.5 grams of heroin-like substance, 1,500 rupees, and 8.5 grams of brown sugar-like substance were seized.
In other significant busts, law enforcement apprehended a dealer in Handwara and two in Baramulla. Notably, in Bandipora, a notorious drug peddler was caught with 5.7 kilograms of charas powder, reinforcing the commitment of local authorities to eradicate drug smuggling from the region and protect the community.
