In a decisive action against illegal LPG operations, the Delhi Police have cracked down on multiple rackets across the city, apprehending 16 individuals involved in black-marketing and unauthorized refilling activities, officials announced on Thursday.
Raids conducted in regions such as Mangolpuri, Jahangirpuri, Palam, and Dwarka exposed a wide network engaged in illicit storage and sale of LPG cylinders at inflated prices. A total of 241 cylinders and several refilling instruments have been confiscated during these operations.
The investigation revealed that the perpetrators, who obtained the cylinders from legitimate agencies, redirected them illegally and used makeshift setups for refilling gas, endangering lives in densely populated areas. Authorities have filed separate cases and are diligently probing further to uncover the full extent of these illegal networks.
