Initially, authorities reported that up to 10 individuals might have been injured, but revised the number several hours after the shooting incident in Baton Rouge. Subsequently, five arrests were made in connection with the chaos.
In the wake of the shooting, Mayor Sid Edwards issued a stern warning to potential offenders, asserting they would face justice. Police Chief TJ Morse encouraged eyewitnesses to share any video evidence of the ordeal, assuring the public that no further threats were imminent.
