In a bold move, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has ordered the transfer of 162 officials from the Trade and Taxes department following the discovery of 'serious irregularities'. This decision was made after a surprise visit to the department.

The affected officials include 58 section officers, 22 assistant section officers, 74 senior assistants, and five junior assistants, along with three assistant commissioners. These officials had been stationed at their current locations for an unusually lengthy period, prompting the shakeup.
