Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has commended the achievements of the 'Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir Abiyaan', noting substantial progress over the past 12 days in the Jammu division. The initiative has seen the arrest of numerous drug smugglers and the registration of a large number of cases.
Sinha emphasized the link between drug trafficking and terrorism, urging enforcement agencies to treat both as allied threats. He called for decisive actions, including monitoring of smuggling routes and dismantling financial chains to obliterate trafficking networks.
The campaign recorded significant seizures of narcotics and property attachments, alongside demolitions of traffickers' properties. Licenses of drug stores were revoked, and financial investigations initiated against several peddlers. Sinha highlighted ongoing efforts to prosecute identified traffickers and keep peddlers under surveillance.
