In a significant political development, newly appointed Chief Minister of West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, assigned crucial portfolios to the first set of ministers in his council on Monday. Prominent BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has been entrusted with the Panchayat and Rural Development, as well as the Animal Resource Development and Agricultural Marketing Departments.
