In a scathing critique, Shiromani Akali Dal's Bikram Singh Majithia accused the AAP government in Punjab of fostering an environment conducive to crime. Majithia stated that the state has become a sanctuary for gangsters and drug dealers, while the police remain passive.

The former minister pointed to a disturbing incident in Majitha's Kotla Saidan village, where armed assailants allegedly attacked a household, wounding an innocent girl. He criticized the police for not acting on threat information due to political interference, allowing criminal activities to proliferate.

Majithia further lambasted the state government for failing to address organized crime, including extortion and blasts, signaling a compromised security structure. He claimed that government officials are more focused on personal enrichment than enforcing law and order.
