Fake LPG Cylinder Scam Unraveled: Trio Arrested in Jharkhand

Three individuals were apprehended in Jharkhand's Jamtara district, accused of deceitfully acquiring bank account information under the pretense of delivering cooking gas cylinders, authorities reported on Friday.

Acting on a tip, law enforcement conducted a raid at a closed primary school in Dakhnidih village, leading to the capture of the suspects. They reportedly engaged potential customers via online platforms, offering LPG cylinder supplies to extract their bank details, police indicated.

One detainee had previously served a two-and-a-half-year sentence for similar offenses. Authorities have charged them under sections of the BNS, the IT Act, and the Telecommunications Act, with further investigation ongoing, a police official stated.
