The DGP extolled the SIB's effectiveness in weakening the Maoist insurgency via intelligence-driven operations and promoting peaceful surrenders. He highlighted the SIB's proactive engagement in reintegrating former extremists into society and promised continued support for their rehabilitation, urging the SIB to sustain its oversight of rehabilitative efforts.
In light of declining Maoist activity, Anand advocated for the SIB's adaptation to contemporary security dynamics, like policing intelligence and understanding social media-driven societal changes impacting public safety.
