A devastating road accident claimed the lives of four family members traveling on motorcycles when a truck carrying maize overturned on them. The incident occurred Friday morning near Kaleshwar Mahadev in Haryana's Yamunanagar district. The family was en route to the renowned Shri Renukaji Temple when tragedy struck.
The victims, identified as Rajendra Dhiman, his two daughters, and Phool Singh, were traveling in tandem, while Rajendra's wife, Usha, sustained critical injuries. As they approached a bend on Lal Dhang's slopes, the laden truck toppled over, crushing them beneath its weight. The truck driver fled the scene, prompting a police manhunt.
Nearby residents and Pratap Nagar police, led by Rohtash Singh, assisted in the aftermath, working to clear the maize and recover those trapped. Usha was transported to a hospital as police determined if the accident was due to driver error or technical failure. Legal proceedings have been initiated.
