General Upendra Dwivedi, the Army Chief, underscored the strategic milestone marked by Operation Sindoor. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the 150th batch at the National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla, he described how this military engagement showcased India's capable and decisive response to provocations.

In his address, General Dwivedi stressed the evolving nature of today's security threats, which often manifest unexpectedly. He noted that Operation Sindoor, conducted against terrorist bases in Pakistan in May 2025, exemplified a well-coordinated military effort built on principles of integration instilled by the Academy. As the defence services continue to enhance these integrated structures, he charged the cadets to maintain the illustrious standards set by such operations.

The ceremony also marked a personal milestone for General Dwivedi, reflecting on his own graduation from the Academy over four decades ago. He praised the parade for their impressive performance and extended congratulations to international cadets graduating alongside their Indian counterparts.
