Masked Gang Assaults Leave Seven Dalits Injured in Tamil Nadu

In a recent outbreak of violence, seven Dalits suffered injuries following alleged attacks by a masked group in Tamil Nadu's Tenkasi and Tirunelveli districts. The police reported that a gang of nine masked individuals arrived at Nettur village in Tenkasi on motorcycles and launched indiscriminate attacks using sickles. A similar assault occurred in Tirunelveli district, resulting in one more injury.
The perpetrators quickly fled the scene after committing the attacks. All seven injured individuals were taken to a government hospital for treatment. Law enforcement has registered a case and is actively investigating the incidents. Political leader Anbumani Ramadoss expressed deep concern over these attacks, accusing the Tamil Nadu government of failing to curb such violence.
Ramadoss highlighted the pervasive fear plaguing the southern districts due to these events, insisting that the district administrations take immediate action to reinstate peace in the impacted areas.
