Rahul Gandhi has taken a strong stance against the Indian government's response to the controversy surrounding the CBSE's On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. In a recent social media post, he shared a video of his conversation with students affected by mislabelled answer sheets during revaluation.
Describing the students as "brilliant and brave young Indians," Gandhi criticized the authorities for belittling them instead of addressing their valid concerns. He referred to the students' ordeal, including accusations of them being "deep state agents." Gandhi has called for an independent judicial investigation into the matter.
The issue emerged when Vedant, a Class 12 student, claimed that the revaluated physics answer sheet uploaded by CBSE was not his. As similar stories surfaced, CBSE acknowledged the issue and started examining its processes with help from academic and tech experts. The controversy has also put the spotlight on Coempt, previously known as Globarena, which managed the contested OSM process.
