In response to the attack on TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee, Congress's Ashok Gehlot accused the BJP and Election Commission of undermining law and order in West Bengal. Banerjee was attacked while visiting victims of post-poll violence, with allegations pointing to BJP activists seeking to harm him.
Gehlot expressed concerns over increased violence after the TMC's electoral loss, discussing attacks on party offices by those allegedly linked to the BJP and RSS. Criticizing the Election Commission, Gehlot argued the deployment of a large security force influenced election results and disenfranchised 2.7 million voters. He called for youth engagement and a reflection on India's political direction.
