Blackout Strikes Kutch Amid Rising Indo-Pak Tensions

Tensions rose sharply between India and Pakistan, leading to a blackout in Gujarat's Kutch and Banaskantha districts. Authorities on Thursday imposed this measure after wreckage of a drone-like object was discovered near Khavda village, close to the Indo-Pak border, creating uncertainty over its origins and purpose.
The blackout affected several towns and villages, including Bhuj, Nalia, Nakhatrana, and Gandhidham, as well as areas in the Banaskantha district's Suigam taluka. This decisive step aims to avert any hostile actions amid escalating regional tensions.
Hostilities intensified after Indian forces targeted nine terror sites, including key strongholds in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, in retaliation for a terror attack in Pahalgam. The situation remains volatile with heightened security measures on both sides of the border.
