In response to recent regional tensions, security on the Gujarat coast has been significantly increased. The escalation follows 'Operation Sindoor,' where the Indian armed forces targeted terror bases in Pakistan and PoK. This military operation comes as a countermeasure to the lethal attack on tourists and locals in Kashmir, which left 25 dead.

Authorities have cancelled police leaves, requiring all personnel to promptly return to duty. Inspector General Ashok Kumar Yadav of the Rajkot Range confirmed heightened alert levels, particularly in Jamnagar, Morbi, and Devbhumi Dwarka districts, which have vital coastal locations. A vast police force is deployed across these regions to maintain security.

Continuous patrols, vehicle checks, and community awareness efforts are underway. Police, in cooperation with State Reserve Police and Gram Rakshak Dal, regularly inspect coastal villages and key sea points. Simultaneously, civil defence drills have been executed across 18 districts to prepare residents for potential emergencies.
