On Monday, the opposition Congress demanded Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis clarify the timeline for a promised farm loan waiver, highlighting a key concern in the state's agricultural sector.
Sachin Sawant, the state Congress general secretary, took to 'X' to question the procedures and rules surrounding the loan waiver, pressing Fadnavis for transparency.
Adding further pressure, the opposition Shiv Sena (UBT) presented a memorandum to the Bank of Maharashtra, insisting on loan sanctions for farmers without technical roadblocks like CIBIL checks, due to the numerous challenges they face.
