In the heart of Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members launched a protest against Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. They accused him of making disparaging statements about slum dwellers originating from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Minister Sirsa, however, firmly denied these allegations, clarifying that his comments were directed at addressing the issue of illegal encroachments by Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. He expressed concerns about the security risks these encroachments pose to the city.
Despite the controversy, AAP has demanded Sirsa's removal, alleging that his remarks exacerbate existing tensions. They maintain that real issues need addressing, pointing fingers at the BJP for fostering discord in the capital city.
