The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has fiercely opposed the federal government's directive to deploy military forces across various cities, including Peshawar.

PTI, founded by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, criticized the move as an illegal effort to stifle political dissent and restrict civil liberties. During a key parliamentary party meeting, leaders passed a resolution condemning the deployment as lacking legal and moral justification. They vowed to challenge the decision in court and urged the Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court to intervene immediately.

Simultaneously, an 8,000-strong tribal council demanded militants leave their region in a peaceful demonstration. Meanwhile, a consultation involving diverse political stakeholders discussed providing relief to terrorism-impacted areas, planning to meet with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister for further action.
