Election Allegations Heat Up: BJP Rebuts Rahul Gandhi's Claims

BJP leader Nalin Kohli has categorically dismissed claims made by Congress's Rahul Gandhi regarding electoral malpractice in India, highlighting the Election Commission's (EC) constitutional duty to facilitate elections. He noted that the EC had facilitated Congress party's formation of government in states like Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana.

Addressing ANI, Kohli put forth a challenging question for Gandhi: if the Election Commission, adhering to constitutional processes, was not conducting elections correctly, then how did his party manage to secure victories? This pointed inquiry followed Gandhi's serious accusation against the EC, accusing it of assisting the BJP through 'vote theft.' Kohli demanded that Gandhi provide answers for these claims.

Gandhi had, in a prior address, alleged that the Indian election system was defunct and accused the EC of rigging the upcoming 2024 elections, claiming to have substantiated evidence. Gandhi's remarks at the legal conclave expressed concerns about a significant portion of seats being compromised, potentially altering the Prime Minister's legitimacy.
