Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra sounded the alarm on Monday about what he describes as a growing threat to democracy in India.
In a press briefing, Dotasra accused the current government of undermining democratic principles and institutions. He criticized the alleged misuse of constitutional bodies to suppress opposition voices and claimed that dictatorial governance prevails, making it challenging for the Congress party to operate effectively.
Dotasra called out the BJP-led administration in Rajasthan for their approach to governance, describing it as a 'parchi-sarkar,' where decisions hinge on slips of paper rather than sound judgment. As municipal elections loom, the Congress plans to hold meetings across district areas to strategize and strengthen its electoral standing.
