The UK's charity regulator announced it found no evidence of bullying at Sentebale, a charity co-founded by Prince Harry. Despite the findings, the regulator criticized all involved for allowing internal disputes to become public.
Prince Harry stepped down as patron in March after a disagreement with board chair Sophie Chandauka, who accused him and trustees of bullying, misogyny, and racism. The royal referred to the fallout as 'devastating' and welcomed the inquiry as a means to reveal the truth.
The Charity Commission's report, released on Wednesday, found no pervasive bullying or harassment, but noted poor governance practices. Sentebale has been given a Regulatory Action Plan to address these issues. The charity's reputation suffered, said David Holdsworth, CEO of the Charity Commission, as disputes unfolded publicly. Sentebale's chair affirmed their commitment to improve governance from the process.
