Tensions escalated at the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) as vandalism at its office stirred controversy. The Congress-affiliated National Students' Union of India (NSUI) labeled the act cowardly, accusing the RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) of orchestrating it.
NSUI National President Varun Choudhary criticized the ABVP for allegedly fostering campus violence, especially towards women. In response, the ABVP dismissed these allegations as an NSUI publicity stunt ahead of the upcoming student elections.
Both organizations continued their campaigns, with NSUI advocating for affordable education and women's safety, while the ABVP insisted they remained committed to their principles. Students vote on September 18, with results announced the following day.
