The United Nations Human Rights Chief has called for an immediate halt to Israel's ground military operations in Gaza City, which commenced on Tuesday. According to reports, there is accumulating evidence of potential war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Volker Turk, speaking from Geneva, expressed grave concern for the plight of women, malnourished children, and people with disabilities amidst the conflict. He urged that the violence must cease immediately, labeling the ongoing assault as nothing short of carnage.
