In a dramatic twist to the BMW accident saga, van driver Mohammad Gulfam, who rushed to aid the injured, claims his vehicle is in police custody, depriving him of his livelihood. Gulfam, a Sultanpuri resident, encountered the accident and swiftly transported the victims to a hospital, dismissing his own financial struggles.
While the Delhi Police deny seizing his van, Gulfam argues that his vehicle remains parked as part of the investigation. "This is my only source of income. I have a family to support," he told PTI, indicating the hardships he now faces due to the lack of his daily earnings.
The tragic accident saw the Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Navjot Singh, losing his life. In contrast, the driver of the BMW has been arrested on serious charges. Gulfam, however, stands firm on his actions, emphasizing the importance of saving lives over any personal inconvenience.
