Apollo Tyres has been announced as the new jersey sponsor for the Indian cricket team for two and a half years, succeeding Dream 11 following a government ban on real money gaming platforms.
The BCCI highlighted this landmark deal, which is Apollo Tyres' debut in Indian cricket, reflecting the growing commercial appeal of the sport.
The sponsorship is valued at Rs 579 crore, and covers 121 bilateral games and 21 ICC matches, with Apollo Tyres set to pay Rs 4.5 crore per match, surpassing the previous sponsor's payment.
