In a significant move, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma announced a major reshuffle of his cabinet on Tuesday, ushering in new faces while eight ministers tendered their resignations.
The political reorganization saw the induction of eight MLAs, including an array of fresh selections, representing parties like NPP, BJP, UDP, and HSPDP, in a bid to refresh the coalition government.
This development follows the resignations of ministers, such as Ampareen Lyngdoh and Poignant Paul Lyngdoh, attributed to term limits that restrict the 60-member assembly to just 12 ministers.
