Anurag Thakur, former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP, announced his upcoming visit to the rain-ravaged areas of Himachal Pradesh. Thakur voiced his concerns, highlighting the extensive damages due to the persistent downpour since Monday.

Speaking at a BJP event, Thakur lamented the state's inaction as he reported significant disruptions in Hamirpur, where infrastructure, including a bus stand and vehicles, suffered extensive damage from the deluge.

The parliamentarian criticized the Congress-led state government for its lack of response while praising Prime Minister Modi's timely intervention. The Prime Minister conducted an aerial survey and pledged a Rs 1,500 crore relief package for the affected state.
