Narendra Modi, India's Prime Minister, first envisioned becoming the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 1969, according to his childhood friend Dashrathbhai Patel from Vadnagar. Three decades later, Modi fulfilled that dream in 2001, marking the beginning of a political journey that eventually led him to national leadership.
In a fond recollection, Patel shared anecdotes from their childhood, highlighting Modi's formative years spent selling tea at Vadnagar railway station, where his father ran a tea stall. He reminisced about their school days, participation in RSS activities, and shared experiences, including a memorable trip to Patel's farm.
Marking Modi's 75th birthday, Gujarat initiated blood donation camps at 378 locations, registering over 1.20 lakh participants. The state-wide ''NaMo Ke Naam Raktdaan'' drive was launched by Health Minister Rushikesh Patel, with events across the state celebrating Modi's milestone.
