In a renewed clash, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has leveled fresh accusations against Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Gehlot slammed Shekhawat for his alleged involvement in the 2020 attempt to destabilize the Congress-led Rajasthan government, a crisis that shook the state's political landscape.
Gehlot's criticism comes after Shekhawat claimed triumph over legal proceedings, with the court accepting the closure reports submitted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Central Bureau of Investigation. The court's move seemingly relieves Shekhawat of direct blame in the scandal, but Gehlot remains staunch in his accusations.
Significantly, Gehlot demands Shekhawat to provide voice samples related to alleged horse-trading audio clips, questioning the BJP leader's transparency. He recounted the turmoil of July-August 2020, suggesting persistent efforts to undermine the elected government. According to Gehlot, such political maneuvers ultimately failed, securing a full term for his administration.
