Jacob Thomas, the former Kerala Police chief, has made headlines by joining the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a full-time pracharak. This right-wing volunteer organization is known for its strong cultural and nationalist outlook.

During a Mahanavami event at Pallikkara, Thomas donned the RSS's traditional uniform, emphasizing the organization's goal of creating culturally robust individuals. 'With more such individuals among us, the society will become stronger, leading to a stronger nation,' he stated.

Thomas, who also served as Director of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau in Kerala, joined the BJP in 2021. His decision mirrors actions by other former top police officials, such as R Sreelekha and T P Senkumar, aligning themselves with the Sangh Parivar.
