The scheduled Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examination for October 5 has been postponed, as announced by Chief Executive Officer G.S. Martolia following candidates' requests. A new date remains to be set. This decision aligns with addressing recent controversies surrounding the exam process.
In response to a paper leak incident, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami promised transparency and swift action. He revealed that the alleged culprits have been arrested and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted to ensure the integrity of the examination process. Dhami emphasized his administration's commitment to justice for Uttarakhand's youth.
The Chief Minister criticized opposition parties for politicizing the situation, accusing them of creating unrest. He assured the students of a CBI inquiry into the matter and reiterated the government's enactment of stringent anti-cheating laws. Over 25,000 youth secured jobs under these measures, and more than 100 members of the cheating mafia were jailed.
