Former President Ram Nath Kovind expressed concern over the reluctance of 'good people' to enter politics and urged the youth to step up, while praising the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for its efforts in fostering social equality and unity.

Speaking at the annual Vijayadashmi rally, Kovind highlighted Mahatma Gandhi's admiration for the RSS, emphasizing its emphasis on caste-free harmony and social service. He noted the significant contributions of RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar to his personal ideology.

Kovind also mentioned his upcoming book titled 'Triumph of the Indian Republic' and reiterated the importance of youth participation in politics. The rally coincided with the centenary celebrations of the RSS, originally founded on Dussehra in 1925 by Dr. Hedgewar.
