Banerjee's Bold Critique: Rallying Against UCC and Language Delays

Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee delivered a sharp critique of the BJP at a rally in Gopiballavpur, West Bengal, highlighting two key issues: the proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the delayed recognition of the Kurmali language.

Banerjee accused the BJP of disregarding tribal customs with its UCC proposal, claiming it promised such measures only to divide communities along religious lines. He also highlighted the central government's inaction in recognizing the Kurmali language, despite TMC's efforts to include it in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

Emphasizing the urgency for social welfare, Banerjee contrasted BJP's unfulfilled promises with West Bengal's Lakshmir Bhandar scheme, benefitting thousands of women and families. He urged voters to support TMC, vowing to maintain welfare programs and counter BJP policies in the upcoming state elections.
