BJP leader K Annamalai officially launched his election campaign for the Mylapore constituency on Monday. His support focuses on the party candidate, Tamilisai Soundararajan, for the upcoming April 23 assembly elections.
In his address, the former state BJP chief criticized the DMK government for their unfulfilled promises, particularly concerning infrastructure projects. He pointed out specific promises like the construction of two lakh houses for fishermen, with 200 planned for Mylapore, which have not materialized.
Annamalai further alleged an increase in ganja sales under the current administration. He praised the enthusiastic response at Union Minister Amit Shah's recent roadshow, expressing confidence in their candidate and expecting AIADMK's Palaniswami to become Tamil Nadu's chief minister after a decisive win.
