TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee has launched a sharp critique against the BJP, accusing the party of failing to deliver on its electoral promises. Banerjee emphasized that West Bengal's welfare programs, such as the 'Lakshmir Bhandar', would persist without interruption.
Addressing a massive poll rally at Barjora in the Bankura district, Banerjee pledged lifelong benefits for women under the popular scheme, which provides monthly payments to women across different communities. He alleged BJP's track record of false promises, questioning its credibility in delivering new welfare initiatives.
Furthermore, Banerjee challenged BJP-led states to emulate West Bengal's direct benefit schemes and took a jab at the Modi administration's economic policies. As elections approach, he urged constituents to hold the BJP accountable in the polls.
