On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu's Leader of Opposition, Udhayanidhi Stalin, expressed strong criticism of the TVK government's legitimacy due to lacking majority voter support and their alliances with previously criticized adversaries.

During the TVK government's floor test, Udhayanidhi highlighted the inconsistency of aligning with AIADMK MLAs after previously condemning their corruption. He emphasized that approximately 65% of voters had rejected TVK in the recent elections.

Udhayanidhi urged the current government to maintain welfare schemes initiated by the previous DMK leadership, citing the importance of continuity for initiatives such as the 'Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam' and free bus travel for women.
